Paul Mclachlan- Compliance Manager @ GMC Group
Group Roles Acting Chair and Full Time Treasurer and Executive Member
Paul is employed as the Compliance Manager at Gareth Morris Construction (GMC) and has worked for them for the past 10 years, after previously serving in the British Army for 24 years. Paul has represented GMC in the training group since 2013 and has served as Group Treasurer since 2014. Paul is also currently standing in as Group Chair until a member representative volunteers to stand for election, hopefully in the very near future. Paul has been a trainer for the past 22 years in one capacity or another and understands the value quality training brings to an organisation and to an individual’s development. Paul hopes you all enjoy the group, is keen to gain members input in developing the group to meet expectations and looks forward to meeting with all member representatives.

Kath Owens- Commercial PA@ Anwyl Homes
Group Roles Vice Chair and Executive Member
Kath has worked for Anwyl Construction Company Limited for over 17 years and currently responsible for Group Training. As well as being recently elected as Vice Chair to the NEWCTG, she is Vice Chair of the Welsh Government (Construction) Apprenticeship Framework/Pathway Development Group and have a keen interest in promoting training and development within the Sector.
Kath is also a member of the Coleg Cambria Construction Steering Group and attends the Home Building Skills & Supply Chain and Apprenticeship Group meetings.

Karen Heaton-Morris, Director @ Read Construction
Group Role Executive Member
As Director at Read, Karen oversees people development and training. Karen has been an active member of the training group since 2016, recognising the group as an opportunity to meet other like-minded companies with a commitment to improving both competitiveness, but also quality of training available within our local area. The group is pivotal to ensure companies of all sizes have access to cost effective and local training options. Karen recently joined the Exec Group in 2022.
