Who are we?

North East Wales Construction Training Group is, a not for profit organisation funded by CITB that is committed to providing cost-effective training and development opportunities to its members.

The group membership is currently comprised of local construction companies located within Conwy, Denbighshire, Flintshire and Wrexham with the desire to expand both full and associate memberships.

What we do?

Aims and Objectives

The aim of the group is to assist member companies by co-ordinating quality training and business development so as to enhance the competitiveness of those companies and where possible endorse the achievement of industry recognised qualifications.

This will be fulfilled by achieving the following objectives:

• Setting and achieving targets in compliance with CITB conditions.
• Forming links and co-operating with other appropriate bodies.
• Training support.
• Business development.
• Promotion of the groups’ activities.

Members meet up regularly for industry updates and networking opportunities. Benefiting from special rates with local training providers.  Being part of our group is more than training to your business.

We wish to help you make the CITB Levy work for your company.

Executive Committee

NEWCTG is made up of an executive committee and member companies who work within the local construction Industry.

Each member company chooses to nominate their own representative, who attends meetings and who would normally coordinate the staff development needs within the organisation.

A Group Training Officer is employed by NEWCTG to facilitate the running of the group.  Committee members are volunteers from those companies, they are voted in on an Annual basis by the members at the Annual General Meeting earlier in the year.

The principles from the Chairman and the committee of the group is to participative approach and encourage input from their members.
